Luxury carmakers slash prices in China reports that luxury car makers including jaguar Land Rover, Audi and Daimler are going to cut car and spares prices after competition authorities investigated possible (unspecified) anti-competitive conduct. It seems that the authorities' main concern is related to the increasing market share taken by the European companies, which domestic Chinese manufacturers cannot readily compete with. Local manufacturers were being asked a few weeks ago to provide information on the challenges they face from the European manufacturers.
